A prospective randomized controlled trial comparing infliximab and etanercept in patients with moderate to-severe chronic plaque-type psoriasis: the Psoriasis Infiximab vs. Etanercept Comparison Evaluation (PIECE) study
نویسنده
چکیده
There are no direct comparison data between infliximab and entanercept in the treatment of psoriasis. This study was a mult icenter, randomised control trial done in the Netherlands to compare the efficacy, outcome of etanercept vs. infliximab in the management of moderate to severe chronic plaque psoriasis. Patients (age 1875 years old) with Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) ≥10 and/or body surface area (BSA) ≥10% and/or PASI ≥8 plus a Skindex-29 score ≥35 were included. Etanercept 50 mg subcutaneously twice weekly or infliximab 5 mg per kg was given intravenously at week 0, 2, 6 and every 8 weeks.

Tofacitinib versus etanercept or placebo in patients with moderate to severe chronic plaque psoriasis: patient‐reported outcomes from a Phase 3 study
BACKGROUND Tofacitinib is an oral Janus kinase inhibitor that is being investigated for psoriasis. Psoriasis impacts on physical and psychological well-being; improvements in health-related quality of life (HRQoL) with etanercept in psoriasis are well documented. OBJECTIVE To evaluate HRQoL with tofacitinib, vs. placebo or etanercept, in the Phase 3, randomized, placebo-controlled, non-inferi...

BACKGROUND Apremilast, an oral, small-molecule phosphodiesterase 4 inhibitor, has demonstrated efficacy in patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis. OBJECTIVE Evaluate efficacy and safety of apremilast vs. placebo in biologic-naive patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis and safety of switching from etanercept to apremilast in a phase IIIb, randomized, double-blind, placebo-contro...

OBJECTIVES To compare outcomes between adalimumab and etanercept in the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis. METHODS Study groups included patients randomized to adalimumab or placebo (REVEAL and CHAMPION trials) and those randomized to etanercept or placebo (M10-114 and M10-315 trials). Week 12 outcomes were compared between patients receiving adalimumab and those receiving etan...
